February 7, 2018- Actress Jo Boah is reported to be joining an upcoming MBC weekend drama 'Parting Left'. The drama is scheduled to air on May and it stars veteran actors Jung Joon Ho and Cha Shi Ra

Cha Shi Ra and Jung Joon Ho is set to play the role of Young Hee and Sang Jin, a separated husband and wife. Meanwhile, Jo Boah is set to play the role of Jung Hyo who got pregnant by her boyfriend who is the son of Young Hee and Sang Jin. Jung Hyo is instructed by her boyfriend to get an abortion but Jung Hyo decided to come to Young Hee's place and live there. They both get through tough conflicts but come to understand each other after.

Jo Boah's recent appearance was on the SBS drama 'Temperature of Love'. I think she is a good and pretty actress who deserves to be recognized. SBS said they cannot air 'Why Secretary Kim', Meanwhile Park Seojoon's agency says he is still reviewing the offer.

February 5, 2018- SBS announced that they cannot air the drama adaptation of a popular novel 'Why Secretary Kim?'. Earlier this year, news about actor Park Seojoon reviewing an offer of the drama adaptation was publicized with SBS emerging as its future broadcaster. Park Seojoon is popular now because of his recent drama 'Fight My Way' and his appearance in Na PD's tvN variety show 'Youn's Kitchen 2'.

Although, the drama adaptation is in the works, SBS released a statement that they cannot air the upcoming drama. Meanwhile, Park Seojoon's agency said that the actor is still considering the offer regardless of the TV broadcaster. The novel's story is about a perfect man with the name Lee Young Joon who posseses everything from wealth and face and his secretary of 9 years whose name is Kim Misoo. But then one day, secretary Kim Misoo suddenly said that she's going to resign which made Lee Young Joon flustered.

Now, with SBS withdrawing, I wonder which broadcaster will pick this drama adaptation in the future.

JTBC Plans to Make a Drama Based from a Popular Webtoon 'My ID Is Gangnam Beauty'

February 5, 2018- Cable broadcaster JTBC announced that they are planning to produce a drama based on a popular webtoon titled 'My ID is Gangnam Beauty'. The webtoon is created by Gi Meng Gi. It tells the story of the female protagonist Kang Mirae who's trying to live a changed life after changing her face through plastic surgery. The webtoon is being hosted by LINE.

The title of the webtoon really gives it all right? You'd know that its about plastic surgery ones you read just the title. But I think it really is something that can teach lessons and give meaningful message. Mirae as a character was considered super ugly when she was young but upon entering college she changes her appearance through plastic surgery but the problem was that she fixed almost everything about her face that people around her knows that she's a plastic beauty hence the 'Gangnam Face' term. But she met the male protagonist Do Kyungsuk, who's a little bit weird and slow but serves as her knight and shinning armour whenever she's in trouble.

Now if the drama would be pushed, the casting can be a little burdensome. I mean it's hard to play someone who's continually being dissed as a plastic beauty. Let's see and wait what would happen in this project.
